In June 2014 the company was reported to be closing all of its US stores, with closure expected by the end of June 2015. Its 60 international stores were to remain open.

Authentic Brands Group bought the brand from Fifth and Pacific for 195 million dollars, announced on 7 October 2013. In September 2014 Juicy Couture began selling at Kohl’s in the US, and in 2021 JCPenney began selling Juicy by Juicy Couture.
