Michele Taddei and Renzo Zengiaro started the company, specialising in artisanal leather goods.

Ownership and leadership

Kering acquired the brand in February 2001 for 156 million dollars. Creative directors have been Tomas Maier (2001-2018), Daniel Lee (2018-2021), Matthieu Blazy (2021-2024) and Louise Trotter (since 2024). Bartolomeo Rongone has been CEO since 2019.
