Is maybelline superstay matte or dewy?
It doesn’t have a glossy shine, but it’s not completely matte either. Color 15 is very similar to 35 (brown undertone). This shade 120 is simply incredible, exactly what I have been searching for. The gloss stays on all day, but it feels unpleasantly sticky.
Before applying it, I make sure to remove any excess product from the applicator. If this step is skipped, the layer will be thick and unpleasant. The lipsticks are really cool and long-lasting. I ordered shade number 10 (previously tested in the store, loved the color), but on my lips, it turned out much darker.

However, shade 35 is definitely not a nude shade. Let’s start with the fact that the lipstick holds up well, although it is sticky, it doesn’t dry out the lips, and the quality is commendable. Great color (shade 1 for everyday wear. The longevity of the lipstick is impressive.
In my opinion, it is very sticky and has a very dense texture, which I didn’t like.

The tough thing about dark lipsticks is that if they start to fade or smear, they can look really messy and it’s hard to fix it without taking all of your lipstick off and starting from scratch. This highly-pigmented color lasts up to 24 hours, glides on like a gloss, and moisturizes like a lip balm. A coworker told me how great my lipstick looked at the end of the day and I said, Thanks, I haven’t reapplied once all day.
And though I appreciate a lipstick that doesn’t rub off as soon as I take a sip of tea or kiss my boyfriend, long-wear formulas have never been my thing.

The second thing I like is the consistency – this really is a fabulously pigmented foundation and smoothes over any imperfections with absolute ease. I find it so hard to find foundations that are light enough for my skin tone but was pleased to see that the True Ivory shade (number 0 is actually pretty fair rather than a murky shade of beige. The Maybelline Super Stay Active Wear 30H Foundation is a lightweight, breathable foundation with full coverage that is sweat-proof, transfer-proof and water-proof.
Anywho, before that I had purchased a different shade of the Maybelline SuperStay Foundation that I intended to review for you all but never got around to it. And now that Maybelline has extended the shade range this year from 16 to 24, I can only imagine the formula’s popularity will keep growing. Sure, I’d tried Dream Matte Mousse back in my school days (in a completely unflattering shade too), but I’ve not ventured back to Maybelline in a fair few years. I loved how the foundation felt satiny-smooth as I applied it to my skin with my dampened Beauty Blender and it was easy to get a flawless finish in double time.
I love using a Beautyblender as it lets me really build up to that full but not cakey-looking coverage. It’s a full coverage foundation, can last 24 hours of wear, lightweight, oil-free and doesn’t clog pores. You got that mask feeling after applying it so let’s see if Maybelline stepped up their formulation game. Some of those claims may come from the fact that dimethicone is the 5th ingredient in the Maybelline SuperStay Foundation.
